Recieved much awaited emails yesterday, "Card Production Ordered" email.
My PD is 03/13/2006, I didn't do anything special like calls to USCIS, emails, inquiries etc. Just waited for my turn.

My immigration doctor told me that if i had chickenpox in childhood i do not need the varicella vaccine? Which i did at age 5. Please, let me know if anyone else was told the same , i will be going back to him on Wednesday for the physical exam. I don't want to get a RFE on that.
If you had chickenpox in childhood, you have to show a letter. you no need to take varicella Vaccine. But my situation I had chikenpox in childhood, when i went to immigraiton doctor , i dint tell that i had chickenpox in childhood. Doctor told me to take Varicella Vaccine. I took that one.

Well, no - my basic argument is that the banks bloated up the 'real' asset value - I had the money then and I have the money now and I am still paying my monthly mortgage amount - the point is about the inflated housing prices.....with these banks knowing the actual value of the asset and still going ahead with the extravagant loans.
From another point of view, tell me 1 reason why would you lend out money to somebody who you know would not be able to pay you back?
Let me try to understand your logic. You don't have money and went to bank and requested that they help you out with a loan. They give you loan based on what you bid your house and it is all their fault. If only banks had refused the loan, you wouldn't have bought the house. Is this your logic? Do you ever think for yourself?:confused: I am not going to say that banks were not at fault. But to act like nothing is punjabi's fault is ridiculous.
BTW if you think he can afford it now wait for another year. The full impact of these mistakes will be known by then. We will be deep into a depression. We will have on top of it ALT-A resets and his house will lose more than 20K for sure. My opinion would be to sell it now and take the hit or wait and lose more. The housing will not rebound to the 2007 peek for a decade.

If someone is a customer of Teleblend, they should contact them and ask them to provide a matching world plan service. Or else you and your friends will switch to Vonage. You will be surprised how fast teleblend will come up with a better plan than Vonage. In this country customer is the king. Vonage is trying to tie you up with an yearly plan. Wait and get Teleblend or other company to give you a better deal and you will save more money. Vonage is banking on being the first and capturing the market for 1 year before others give a better deal. It had to do it because people were switching to Teleblend, Omma or MagicJack. Now it is time for customers to contact these company senior executives and ask them to give you a good plan if they want you to stick with the company.
For now Vonage is good plan for who call India frequently and costumer service is good (atleast when you are their costumer). This will at least create some competition among the VOIP companies and Indian calling card companies. When some body comes with a better plan or service or Vonage is not doing good than we can switch to other. Competition like this between companies only consumers (like us) gets benefit.

Will EB-2 India will advance "substantially" in May?
There are 18,000 persons with EB-2 priority dates in 2006 who are waiting for green cards, 13,000 of them from India.
Given the 7% country quota, we expect the India EB-2 to move forward in May between 2 weeks and 2 months.
* This is seems to be completely different from what they claimed "substantial" before.....:confused:
And their news page has also changed to reflect this "modest" movement (previously it stated - "the movement will not be weeks or months but could be years")
On both extremes, it's nothing but just an attempt to generate traffic to the website I guess.
Interesting that he claims - the modest movement will be because of the 7% country cap. In my understanding, it does not apply when spiilover happens (plz correct me if I am wrong)

In I-485, when we enter I-94 information, I am not sure which date to use in the valid field.
The date on my white EAD card expired already. I have a new I-797 which is valid until 2010. My guess is I should enter this date. Can any one please confirm?

The OP is great. He has created a new id to discuss L1 fraud. Will he be creating one id per issue... recapture, H1B abuse, outsourcing, backlogs?? wow!!!
Not sure why he wants his/ her identity covered up. This shows how good some of us are in trying to make noises in the dark and not doing anything about issues in hand.
In all, I still don't understand why L1Bs cannot work at Client site. I am sure that the L1 petitions specifically ask for Client site / work location. If Client site address is mentioned, the USCIS does approve the petition. If it is against law, they will not approve the petition. I know this for a fact since some of my friends are on L1.
Regarding my identity cover up... I have mentioned couple of times abt the seriouness of the situation as the other party is a multi billion dollar organisation, second please add all the reasons why ICE/USCIS/DOL provides anonymity and whitsle bowler protection to people who brings these kind of violations to their notice.
Regarding working at client site... Yes they do get approved for working at client sites BUT with the condition that they would be working directly under the suprevision of their managers and NOT the client managers (they don't qualify for consulting assignments). Also these L-1B visas are approved for working on speciality skills NOT on common technical skills (like java/.net/DBs/Prod Support etc). Next time read your friends L-1B petition carefully and you could find all these details over there.. also verify the L1 reform act of 2004 (published in this thread).
Regarding retrogression... I agree that L-1B visas are not impacting the same much and also I think if someone in L-1A LEGALLY qualifies for EB-1 there is nothing wrong in getting the GC, If we think thats not appropriate then we should bring this upto the law makers and get it rectified BUT fake EB1s should be notified to authorities.
We are fighting against a fraudulant activity by which our jobs (and hence our GCs) are jeopardized and its not a fight against fellow immigrant BUT a fight against the greed of these corporates to make money even by committing such fraudulant activities.. hope this clears the doubt.

My receipt date is June 20 and my PD is Oct 2002. If the July visa bulletin does retrogress, will I still be affected with regards to I-765?
No. Since USCIS accepted your application when your PD was current, then you are fine.

I'm not willing to change the employer but what If I stay with current employer and find an other job as part-time (say weekends) after getting my EAD ?
