I think we should write letter and incorporate such things in our DC campaign.
I am tentattive to the DC campaign. But we should come out with a document or website and have our guys officially sign it and send it to all the parties involved in making such decision.

Guys do not feed the freeloaders by telling anything you are reading in the donor forum. Let these people help themselves by signing up for recurring contributions if they want helpful nformation about their EB2 PD movemement. We are still not meeting of our advocacy day amount. It is all because most people want free lunches. This needs to stop. The 200 people going to DC tomorrow are going to speak for you and me for yours and mine greencard. They are taking time off and spending own money for you and me. Nothing is free in this world. IV is also doing this for you and me and we are taking it for granted. Let people do some good deed today if they want to know good information

Absolutely, the chances for movement to June 2007 is bright but not in May. One of the old models did predict August 2007 by Sep 2011. And then it was noticed that EB3 porting was not properly accounted for in the equation (only 150 per month was accounted). Thereafter, it was stated that Eb3 -> 2 porting is at least 500/m (which I thought was quite a bit). This burden in the model dragged Aug'07 predicted movement date to Nov'06. Now that 12000 EB1 spillover is being claimed, this would account for and balance even 1000/m Eb3->2 porting. Therefore an August 2007 PD by Sep'11 is a good possibility. But the visa bulletin has it's own brains.

If any dept can just publish, how many cases are still pending for receipt & how many receipts are issued per day/week, it will give us an idea on how long we should WAIT....YES I KNOW THAT IT IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR....WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING WITH THIS AGENCY.......

My labor was filed in July 04 on EB2, but approved under EB3 category only. My attorney contacted uscis to with the amendment saying that my LC should have been approved under EB2 category. Finally, got a letter from uscis in Feb 2007 that my LC was approved under EB2. Could that be the reason that I did not get GC yet even my PD is current.

I personally know many who had been "working in H1B" for more than 14 years.
Not everybody gives more weightage for their "immigration plan" than some personal and career interests. If you are really truthful to USCIS about your intentions, and you keep doing what you want to do with your career and life, it is in-fact very possible that you will be found without a GC even after 10 years working in USA, if your are from India.
An approved I-140 doesnt make you "automatically" qualified for an I-485. You dont file 485, if you dont "intent" to continue with that specific employment, even after I-140 approval.
7Years???? No..... you can extend your H1 beyond 6 years as many times as you want if you meet some conditions as per AC21. So it is possible for you to be in H1B for 100 years.
10years tax payed???? Yes because of the other reasons I mentioned. Also I know many who are still in que after 14 years paying taxes.

I think we should not mention the bellow point in the letter which we are going send to the president.
Implement the existing interim rule to allow issuance of multi-year Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) and Advance Parole.
According to Mr. Aytes, USCIS is already working on it. Why to mention it in the letter?
That will rather give anti-skill-immigration crying babies one more thing to cry about.
Now what? Under the new filing fee schedule which took effect after July 29, 2007, issuance of EAD and Advance Parole for the post August 27, 2007 is "free, free, free" for the I-485 filers. Allegedly, the cost is incorporated in the I-485 filing fee of $1,020. The new regulation uses the term of "fee waiver" for EAD and Advance Parole for these I-485 filers. Now, you guessed it! Lo and Behold, the business calculation on EAD and Advance Parole has reversed. The DHS will lose a huge money by issuing single-year EAD and a separate Advance Prole document on a yearly basis over and over since they are free and they will have to keep producing it at no charge every year, which creates a huge workloads consuming its huge human resources and other production costs. This is particularly unacceptable to the agency under the predicted State Department Visa Bulletin for FY 2008 and in the future. Now, from the business standpoint, the DHS may make a huge money by issuing a multi-year EAD which will also function as a travel document. Ahah! No wonder why they are finally coming forward revealing their hidden agenda behind the new fee rule-making and EAD/Advance Parole reform business. I received the cards today. However, the "Resident Since" date is some date in 2008 instead of 09/20/10 (date when I-485 was approved).
I was told by USCIS customer service to fill out form I-90 and mail it to them for a replacement.
I needed clarification on a cryptic question on the form-
Under Part 3 (Processing information)-
3: City of residence where you applied for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status
The I-90 instructions has this - "City of residence where you applied for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status - List the location of the U.S. Embassy or consulate or USCIS office where you filed your application for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status"
So does this mean it is the service center I applied to during the 2007 fiasco? or where I lived when I-485 was filed? The question is cryptic but the help in the I-90 instructions looks clear.
Any one had this issue before? They do have an option on the form for USCIS error for which I do not need to pay any processing fees...

I140 was pending from 2007.When my attorney followed up in feb this year,USCIS gave the standard reply of waiting for 6months.After that they said,they will update in 10 days.They didn't update even after that and then i moved it to premium processing on Sept 28th.
Took 2 info passes in Septembter(regd i140 mainly).First one was not of much help though the officer told my 485 is assigned to IO on Sept 8th.Second time it was different officer and she was very helpful.Tried looking why my 140 is getting delayed but she said ,if she opens my file then 485 file will go back to review queue as it is currently being reviewed by Sept 18th.So she didn't recommend doing that.I didn't open any SR after my first experience of 6 months waiting(without an result!!!)

File a 7001 form with the Ombudsman's office. If I remember right, IV had sent in a recommendation for the USCIS to send GC in secure mail.
An official complaint (instead of just email to ombudsman's office) will reassert IV's recommendation.

I dont understand why DOS/DHS/USCIS will not do anything RIGHT NOW and wait till July 2nd or 3rd??
They are probably wrangling right now...also it is possible that legality requires any amendments only to be published in July...not earlier..
